So proud of this little boy who just turned 6 months. Joker is now qualified for Crufts 2019.

We are very proud of both of them they did gave their best.

Poppy behaalde hier mee haar laatste punt voor haar Nederlands Kampioenschap.
Ze had al voldoende punten maar het was een kwestie van de juiste leeftijd.

Hier mee hebben Jimmy en Thunder zich weten te kwalificeren voor de Hond van het Jaar Show! 
Wat inhoud dat we nu 2 Coonhounds en 2 Gordons hebben gekwalificeerd.

11-08-2018 World Dog Show Amsterdam

Thuis van de WDS in Amsterdam.
Waar nu te beginnen.
Het was misschien toch niet zo’n goed idee om Pearl mee te nemen tijdens het einde van haar loopsheid.
Gezien Jimmy helemaal verliefd was op zijn zuster en dus niet zo’n goede performance gaf zo als hij normaal doet.
Kim voelde zich een beetje verloren want ze kreeg op geen enkele manier de aandacht of kon Jimmy op andere gedachten brengen dan zijn zuster.
Daarbij moesten we heel snel van de Coonhound ring naar de Gordon Setter ring.
Maar oke ondanks alles hebben we toch met het hele team mooie resultaten behaald.

Back home from the WDS in Amsterdam.
Well where to start. 
It wasn’t a good idea maybe to bring Pearl there at the end of her season as Jimmy was totally in love and didn’t preform the best as he normaly does.
What made Kim sad as she felt lost because he didn’t want to focus on anything else then Pearl.
With that we had to rush again from the Coonhound ring to the Gordon Setter ring.
But oke we did got any way nice results with the whole team.

Thunder won Best In Groep en moesten we wachten voor Best In Show net als vorig jaar.
Het was weer een mooie en sterke line up voor Best In Show.
Er werden maar 5 van de 10 Groeps Winnaars geplaatst.
En wij waren een van die 5 Thundersloot de dag af als 5de Best In Show!!!! Wij kunnen niet verwoorden hoe trots we zijn.
Het lijkt er op dat Luik Thunder’s show is.

Thunder won Best In Group and then we had to wait for Best In Show just as we did last year.
A very nice and strong line up again.
Only 5 from the 10 Group Winners got placed.
We were one of those 5 and Thunder finished as 5th Best In Show!!!! I can’t express how proud i’m.
It seems that Liege is Thunder’s show.

Vandaag kregen wij bericht vanuit Amerika dat Romance In Paris v.d. Mergelhoeve 'Paris' Amerikaans Kampioen is geworden.
Vandaag haalde zij haar laatste 'Major' die nodig was om haar kampioenschap te voltooien.
Wij zijn natuurlijk ontzettend trots als fokker.
Maar nog trotser op Lynn en Paris die deze weg samen hebben bewandeld zonder een professionele handler.

Today we received the message from America that Romance In Paris v.d. Mergelhoeve 'Paris' became American Champion.
Today she got her final 'Major' what was needed to finish her championship.
We are very proud as breeders.
But even more proud of Lynn and Paris as they did this all together without a professional handler.

We zijn met 2 Coonhounds en 2 Gordon Setters naar de Gundog show geweest.
We zijn ontzettend trots op ons team.
Ze hebben uiterst hun best gedaan in deze hitte.

Pearl en Poppy hebben zich gekwalificeerd voor de Hond van het jaar Show!!!
Jimmy en Pearl  hebben ook nog deel genomen aan de koppel klasse maar helaas geen plaatsing.
Maar deden het geweldig voor de eerste keer.

A hot and nice day full with emotions. 
We went with 2 Coonhounds en 2 Gordon Setters to the Gundog show in the Netherlands.
We are very proud of our team as they gave all their best in this heat and got home with great results.

Vandaag was het ladies day voor Pearl en Kim.
Ze hebben samen weer ontzettend hun best gedaan.
En met hele mooie resultaten naar huis gekomen.

Today it was ladies day for Pearl and Kim.
They did a great together.

De pups zijn voor het eerst naar buiten geweest van de week.

De pups maken het goed en zijn verhuisd naar de puppy ren.

Het is heel dubbel maar wij zijn ontzettend blij dat onze Fire de rol van Nina heeft overgenomen.
Fire geeft de pups de moeder liefde net als of het haar eigen kinderen zijn van af het eerste moment.
Wij zorgen voor de extra voedingen maar ook Fire geeft melk aan de pups.
Alsof het zo heeft moeten zijn......

With very mixed feelings we are happy to say that Fire is taking over the care of the pups.
Fire gives them all the love like they are her own kids.
We take of the extra feedings but Fire does give milk to the pups.
If it was ment to be this way.....

24-04-2018 Rust zacht Nina

Waarom waarom
Dit vragen wij ons af en met ons waarschijnlijk nog vele.
Sommige mensen zullen wel denken schrijf dit stuk over een tijdje wanneer het verlies een beter plaatsje heeft gekregen.
Maar dit is ook een vorm van het een plaatsje kunnen geven.
Wat is er gebeurd met Nina.
Want Nina was toch onze ijzer sterke hond die nooit ziek was of bij een dierenarts kwam.
Ze kwam daar alleen om de echo te maken vanwege haar dracht of voor een vaccinatie omdat het toevallig niet uitkwam met thuis inenten.
Nina herstelde goed van haar keizersnee/sterilisatie.
De pups groeide goed dus er leek geen vuiltje aan de lucht zou je zeggen.
Tot een paar dagen terug dat Nina soms minder eetlust had wat niks voor haar was.
Maar ja het was ook erg warm dus dan denk je dat zal er wel mee te maken hebben.
Tot zondag toen at ze ook niet en hebben we de temperatuur gecontroleerd.
Deze was verhoogd (39,5 C).
Dus dierenarts gebeld en pijnstilling gegeven en antibiotica gehaald.
Want je denk misschien toch langer nodig vanwege de keizersnee enz enz.
Maar gister ochtend was het niet beter.
Niet dat ze gelijk opknapt maar je verwacht dat de temperatuur beter is.
Ze had wel haar eten opgegeten maar de temperatuur was 40,2 C!!!
Dus dierenarts gebeld en hup daar naar toe.
Echo gemaakt en daar was een soort van cyste/abces te zien gevuld met vloeistof in haar buikholte.
Maar omdat Nina gegeten had konden ze haar niet gelijk open maken.
Er werd gedacht dat misschien de stomp van de baarmoeder was gaan ontsteken.
Dus om 15:30 moest Nina terug bij de dierenarts zijn om geopereerd te worden.
Bij ons zelf gingen al allerlei scenario’s door het hoofd en bespraken deze ook tijdens het avond eten.
Vlak daarna ging de telefoon en leek het of dat de grond onder onze voeten weggevaagd werd en de tijd stil stond.
Want er kwam heel slecht nieuws en de kans dat Nina het zou halen was zeer klein.
Wat was er dan gebeurd.
Er is een perforatie ontstaan in haar dunne darm en hierdoor is er ontlasting in de buikholte terecht gekomen en heeft dus een groot abces veroorzaakt.
Daardoor is een groot gedeelte van haar dunne darm aangetast en verkleefd geraakt omdat deze in en om het abces zaten.
Tevens was ook het buikvlies aangetast en de buikwand zeer verdikt en ook daar begonnen zich abcessen te vormen.
Wil en Kim hebben alles mogen zien zowel in Nina haar buik en wat ze verwijderd hadden.
Ze hadden heel wat dunne darm verwijderd en nog een klein stukje weer aan de dikke darm vast gemaakt.
Maar ook dit was niet zonder risico want dit zou kunnen gaan lekken.
Dan was nog de vraag als Nina het zou overleven wat kon ze dan wel nog eten nu ze nog maar weinig dunne darm over had.
De dierenartsen vertelden ons ook dat als we haar toch mee wilde nemen nadat ze de operatie afmaakte dat de kans heel groot was dat we haar na een paar dagen als nog konden verliezen omdat het dus echt heel erg gesteld was met haar.
Wij hebben toen met heel veel pijn in ons hart besloten Nina dit niet aan te mogen doen want dat verdiende zij zeer zeker niet.
Wij hebben de dierenartsen gevraagd wat de oorzaak is geweest dat dit heeft kunnen gebeuren.
En hun zeiden allemaal dat dit op ieder moment kan gebeuren en dit niks met de keizersnee/sterilisatie te maken heeft.
Het is de grootste nachtmerrie van iedere fokker die helaas werkelijkheid is geworden.
Heb je een mooi nestje van 5 pups die vandaag 3 weken oud zijn. 
Alleen heb je van moeders al veel te snel afscheid moeten nemen en mag zij haar geliefde kroost niet verder zien opgroeien.
Kim, Wil en Connie zullen er alles aan doen dat jouw 5 kinderen niks te kort komen en je trots maken Nina.

De pups zijn al 1 week oud en maken het heel goed.
Wij kunnen niet anders zeggen als dat ze zeer gemakkelijk zijn en Nina echt een top moeder is.
Ze hersteld goed van haar keizersnee.

Vandaag zijn we met Pearl en Poppy naar de show in Eindhoven geweest.
Ze deden het beide ontzettend goed en behaalde mooie resultaten.

Later mocht Pearl terug komen in de groep en deed dit geweldig.
Pearl werd 4de Best In Groep en dat met 11 maanden!!!
Wij zijn ontzettend trots op deze mooie resultaten.

02-02-2018 Int. Dogshow Eindhoven

Today we went with Pearl and Poppy to the show in Eindhoven.
Both did really well and got nice results.

Later Pearl had to go back in de group and she did amazing.
Pearl became 4th Best In Group and she is only 11 months old!!!

14-01-2018 Hond van het jaar Show

Vandaag zijn we met Poppy en Thunder naar de Hond van het jaar Show geweest.
Het was een zeer gezellige dag.
Poppy en Thunder deden het weer geweldig op de catwalk en stonden in een grote groep van 34 honden.
Vandaag was wederom een onvergetelijke dag voor ons als fokkers en ook voor Kim als de trotse eigenaar.
 BISS BIS Int.Sh.Ch./Bel.Sh.Ch./NL.Ch./Lux.Ch./Ger.VHD.Ch./BCh. Perfect Thunder v.d. Mergelhoeve NJK,JW'14,BJWNL'15,BWBE'16,BW'15&16,EW'16,BWNL'17,BWLU'17 'Thunder' won namelijk voor het 2de jaar op rij deze grote groep.
En kwam dus later terug voor Best In Show.
Thunder was bij de laatste 10 Beste Honden van 2017!!!
Wij zijn ontzettend trots op Poppy en Thunder die daar samen in naam van onze Kennel stonden.

14-01-2018 Dog of the Year Show

Today we went with Poppy and Thunder to the Dog of the year Show.
It was a very nice day.
Poppy and Thunder did amazing on the catwalk in a huge group of 34 dogs.
Today it was another incredible day for us as breeders but also for Kim as owner.
BISS BIS Int.Sh.Ch./Bel.Sh.Ch./NL.Ch./Lux.Ch./Ger.VHD.Ch./BCh. Perfect Thunder v.d. Mergelhoeve NJK,JW'14,BJWNL'15,BWBE'16,BW'15&16,EW'16,BWNL'17,BWLU'17 'Thunder' won for the 2nd year in a row this huge group.
And had to come back for Best In Show later that day.
Thunder was with the final 10 Best Dogs of 2017!!!
We are very proud of Poppy and Thunder who did stand there together in name of our Kennel.
